On the Fridge ('the service') is a calendar intelligence tool designed for families and caregivers. You upload school district calendars, schedules, or newsletters, and the service extracts closure dates, early dismissals, holidays, and schedule changes into synchronized calendar feeds (iCalendar / ICS format) and timely alerts.

You may use the service for personal, household, or community calendar management in accordance with these terms.

To access personalized feeds and alerts, you create an account using your email address, Google account, or passkey. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate contact information so that notifications, password resets, and account verifications reach you reliably.

Your calendar feed URL functions like an unguessable access key. Any calendar application (such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Outlook) holding this link can read your family's schedule without a separate sign-in. This is how calendar subscriptions operate technically across the internet.

Do not share your personal calendar feed link publicly or publish screenshots of its QR code. If you suspect your link has been compromised, you can revoke and rotate it at any time from your feeds settings.

The Free plan includes one school and one successful document import per household without a credit card. Failed imports do not count. The allowance does not renew or reset when a document is deleted or another adult joins. Saved events, calendar feeds and manual family and college planning remain available.

Additional schools, document imports, automatic calendar monitoring and email imports require Fridge Household ($29 per year). File-size, daily upload and processing limits apply. Subscriptions are billed securely through Stripe on an annual basis and can be canceled at any time from your account settings.

THE NO-DELETION PROMISE: Canceling or losing paid access never removes your saved events. Canceling renewal preserves paid features through the paid period. After paid access ends, schools on the new plan pause additional imports and automatic monitoring; saved dates may no longer reflect school changes. Schools already set up when the new plan takes effect retain their original upload, automatic-update and change-notification benefits, including after cancellation. Newly added schools follow the new plan.

When you upload a PDF, image, or spreadsheet, automated models parse the document to detect event dates, closure categories, and times. We strive for high accuracy and surface uncertain dates in your review queue before or alongside feed publication.

School districts frequently alter their schedules during the academic year due to weather, facility issues, or policy changes. While our system re-reads updated documents and monitors source URLs, On the Fridge is an informational aid and does not guarantee that every school change will be detected without delay. You should confirm critical dates against official district announcements.

If you publish or contribute to a community calendar for a public school, you agree that the information submitted represents official, school-wide dates (such as district holidays or scheduled half-days).

Community calendars never display names, notes, or details concerning individual children. We reserve the right to unpublish, freeze, or reassign stewardship of any community calendar that contains inaccurate information, spam, or inappropriate content.

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. Account deletion immediately revokes all calendar feeds, cancels pending notifications, and deletes your household data, schools, and uploaded documents from active databases. Automated database backups expire and purge within 30 days.

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, On the Fridge and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from missed school events, childcare arrangements, or schedule discrepancies.
